About RMR

Locally owned and operated in Historic Golden Hill, Purveyors Michael Kravcar, Rob Fanella and Rena Holford have had their services featured in publications like San Diego Union Tribune, San Diego Home and Garden Lifestyles, and Renovator Style magazine. RMR has serviced or installed vintage cookstoves everywhere from small craftsman cottages to architect built custom homes. “Designers are placing my stoves in the widest range of styles, from the restored bungalow kitchen to the 21st century modern loft,” states Kravcar, “Their timeless look and high end features give any modern stove a run for its money!”

With handcrafted artistry, RMR provides a museum-quality restoration with every bolt and hinge redone, new porcelain, chrome and high-temperature paint applied. New fasteners are added and modern insulation is installed. Each stove can be customized to the client’s wishes with custom colors and finishes.

“I, myself, have a 1948 Wedgewood Stove, and can honestly testify that stove has made the most remarkable meals and desserts for 2 to 200 people.” Kravcar continues, “My Grandma used to tell me, ‘Where there is good cooking, there is happiness!’ I can tell you, my clients are very happy… and so am I!”

Due to the fact that every vintage stove we restore comes to us with special needs and problems, we at RMR take the time and care without exception on all parts of the stove during the breakdown. We painstakingly document all parts that are removed for cleaning, repair or replacement. Each stove is cared for with craftsmen-like quality and attention to detail. The results are always visible in the final product. We are sure that you will be very satisfied with the quality of the finished product.
